    Re; The lyrics:

The 2nd word in the 2nd line in the charanam should read:
    vanangaamal

For interested people here is my take on the translation of the meaning of the song into English:

    Nee Nenaindaaal (English Translation)

    Pallavi:

Is there anything that cannot be accomplished if you so will (decide)
O blue lotus eyed Goddess Mahalakshmie (consort of Lord Vishnu)

    Anupallavi:

In this human existence joy and sorrow
Alternate (come again and again) – is this not by your action(will)?

    Charanam:

Even (if one) has all fame(accomplishments) will
That last if (one) does not worship your feet?
Those who do not have(receive) your compassionate (grace giving)) glance
What way is there Mother to live in this world?

  40. superb song…..the rendition was extra ordinary…the vocalists vidya as well as vandana were amazing n it was the good song selection of shankar who had done it with maximum perfection….. thank u so much for giving this for us…. i expect more from u guys…..all the very very best!!

  41. @Gopal

Now i know what they are singing.

  51. Worderful musical composition by Shankar and such a soothing rendition by Vid & Van. I think Shankar to start a wish list whereby music enthusiasts can list the songs for which Shankar can add his own instruments.

I would also be very interested to see some original compositions by Shankar, not just musical soundtracks (like NIght Monsoon), but complete songs. I’m sure that there’ll be good lyricists around, just like good singers.

That’ll take him to the next level.

For now, I’m so so happy to have come across “The Shruti Box”. I listen to pretty much all the songs atleast once a day and I keep checking for new ones.

Btw.. I’ll be buying all the songs on Amazon. Keep up the great work.

  52. Great composition and best wishes to every one who worked in this team.

I didn’t get a chance to look at all the previous comments, but I found a MISTAKE in the FIRST LINE of the song.

As per the song, Nee nenaindal – means, if u get wet
and I believe it should be NEE NINAITHAL – means, if u think which matches perfectly to this context.

So, if u dont mind, please try to write/choose the correct word and make sure that ur words reflects ur thoughts or not. Other than that, its really a great song.

    “எல்லா பெருமைகளும் இருந்தாலும் அது உன்னடி வணங்காமல் நிலை பெறுமோ!!.. உன் அருள் பார்வை இல்லாதவர்க்கு உலகிலே வாழ வழி எது அம்மா!!.. Great selection of words.

    Valthukkal

  54. This is just a Master Piece is what I can say.
It’s so Soothing so Soothing that just take a break at office only to hear this song at times.

    Am lovin it.
